This was a commissioned artwork, created from a treasured family holiday photograph, with an aunt waiting on the top of the stairs for others to arrive. I am not sure if the building still stands.

Another vehicle I have owned in the past, a 1962 VW split windscreen Kombi. This is parked at Main Beach on Queensland’s Gold Coast, as we cruised around one Sunday. It never failed to elicit smiles and waves as we drove around, and when stopped we always heard stories of other people’s fond experiences with them. They have such character.
